21/04/2004: Our client approached us due to our long standing relationship, requesting a design on said system.
The existing system requireing an upgrade was over 10 years old, worked with obsolete hardware and was in no way capable of handling a modern communications network.
A design to install new cable interfacing with the old was quickly drawn up and approved. With the provision of 3Com switches at 8 locations we had the basic network needs, all that remained was to provide the physical links.
With over 100 metres of trenching and ducting to install throughout the plant to accomodate the new cabling system, this was one site where causing an ''leak'' really was to be avoided.
With good site drawings we managed to trench,duct and install all the required cable without a hitch and within the timescales we were set.
All that remained was to terminate the fibres, patch it all up and fire up the switches.

As always when good coponents and products are used, the end result is almost a certainty, and, in this case the new system powered up immediately.
