18/02/2008: I asked D-Comm to help us out with a project to migrate one of our Data Centres to a new hosted facility. The requirement was to move a number of our Unix, Wintel, and iSeries servers, to very tight timescales. To facilitate the move, I asked D-Comm to cable the new cabinets to a pre-agreed cabling map, so on the weekend of the move we could rack the servers, plug them in, and bring them up.
The work carried out by D-Comm was to a very high standard, with the patch cables individually cut to length, so we ended up with the added benefit that, as well as making the move considerably easier, we also had a very neat and tidy cabinet cabling solution. I would like to thank D-Comm for their help in delivering a very complex project.
